Corundum refractory brick is a high-temperature refractory material made of corundum minerals. The following are related characteristics and technologies
The main component of corundum mineral is alumina, which has the characteristics of high hardness, high density, and high melting point, so corundum refractory bricks have the following characteristics.
High-temperature stability: It can maintain stability at high temperatures for a long time, and it is not easy to burn out or burn brittle.
Corrosion resistance: It has good acid and alkali resistance and oxidation resistance, and can resist chemical corrosion at high temperatures.
Wear resistance: It has high hardness and density, which can resist mechanical wear at high temperatures.
Pressure resistance: It has high compressive strength and can withstand pressure at high temperatures.
Due to the above characteristics, corundum refractory bricks are widely used in the lining and insulation layer of high-temperature furnaces, electric furnaces, glass kilns, steel smelting, and other industries, which can ensure the normal operation of the equipment and prolong the life of the equipment.
Corundum refractory brick technical parameters
Key Ingredients: Corundum Mineral.
Compressive strength: generally above 100MPa, can reach about 200MPa.
Refractoriness: The refractoriness of corundum refractory bricks is generally above 1750°C, and can reach above 2000°C.
Density: The density of corundum refractory bricks is generally between 3.2~3.5 g/cm², the higher the density, the better the hardness and wear resistance.
Thermal expansion coefficient: generally between 5~8*10^-6/℃, as the temperature increases, the expansion coefficient will gradually increase.
Thermal conductivity: generally between 1.5~2.5 W/m·K, indicating the thermal conductivity of corundum refractory bricks.
Quality loss: After being used for a long time at high temperatures, the quality loss of corundum refractory bricks is relatively small, generally below 1%.
The above are some common technical parameters of corundum refractory bricks. The specific parameters of corundum refractory bricks from different manufacturers and models may vary.
