High Alumina Refractory Castables

High alumina refractory castables (also called high alumina castables) are made of high alumina bauxite as clinker and refractory clay as powder. Then added aluminate cement and sodium tripolyphosphate according to the proportion of the mixture, and its service temperature is 1400-1550℃.

Introduction of High Alumina Refractory Castables

High alumina refractory castables (also called high alumina castables) are made of high alumina bauxite as clinker and refractory clay as powder. Then added aluminate cement and sodium tripolyphosphate according to the proportion of the mixture, and its service temperature is 1400-1550℃.

Normally it is kind of an aggregate and granules, a refractory castable made of a binder is added. High alumina refractory castables have high mechanical strength and good resistance to thermal shock and abrasion. High alumina refractory castables are mainly used as the lining of various kilns such as boilers, blast furnaces hot blast stoves, heating furnaces, ceramic kilns, etc. Soaking furnace, heat treatment furnace, rotary kiln; various high-temperature burner linings, heating furnace water pipe linings, molten steel furnaces refining device parts and high-temperature wear-resistant body of petrochemical catalytic cracking reactors; blast furnace tapping groove, iron The furnace iron tapping tank and the integral spray gun for hot metal pretreatment are lined up. Large prefabricated blocks and linings can be made.

The Alumina content varies from 42% up to 90%. The water requirement of casting is 7 to 10% and has a short curing time. These castables are used in reheating furnaces, steel ladles, and for general purposes repair.

Our high alumina castable can be used to create monolithic linings within all types of furnaces and kilns. They can be further classified into the following sub-categories: conventional, low iron, low cement, and insulating for installation either by gunning or manually. There is a wide variety of raw materials that refractory castables are derived from, including chamotte, andalusite, bauxite, mullite, corundum, tabular alumina, silicon carbide, and both perlite and vermiculite can be used for insulation purposes.

Packages of High Alumina Refractory Castables

Packing: Export Wooden Pallets, Damp-roof bags, 25kgs / bags.

The package is designed to protect castable from humidity. However, as with all hydraulic binders, it is recommended that castable not be placed outdoors or in direct contact with the ground. When correctly stored in dry conditions, the properties of castable will remain within specification limit for at least 9 months. In most cases, its properties will be retained for over a year.

Application of High Alumina Refractory Castables

Cement kiln cooler rear part, other industrial kiln linings, cement kiln door, kiln hood, cooler, and other high temp zones, and other industrial furnace linings.
