Corundum mullite castables’ raw material has brown corundum, white corundum, andalusite, mullite, and high quality bauxite with a specific ratio of ultrafine powder. In industry, mullite is usually artificially synthesized with high purity, dense structure, low creep rate, strong erosion resistance, and well thermal shock resistance.

Corundum mullite castables can perform high properties such as high crushing strength, high-temperature stability, thermal shock resistance, and wear and chemical erosion resistance in the lining of large power station boilers and other high-temperature equipment.

Corundum mullite castables are divided into several grades, products with Al2O3 ≥ 90% based on the corundum phase, products with Al2O3 ≥ 80% based on the corundum phase and mullite phase, and products with Al2O3 ≥ 50% based on the mullite phase.
