Acid-resistant high alumina bricks (also called acid-proof alumina bricks) are made from chamotte, flint clay, and combined clay powder, being high pressure pressed and sintered at high temperatures. This means anti-corrosive and acid-resistant material, which uses quartz, feldspar, and clay as main raw materials and is fired at high temperatures.
Acid-resistant high alumina bricks (also called acid-proof high alumina bricks) are made from chamotte, flint clay, and combined clay powder, being high pressure pressed and sintered at high temperatures. This means anti-corrosive and acid-resistant material, which uses quartz, feldspar, and clay as main raw materials and is fired at high temperatures. Acid-resistant high alumina bricks have low lime and iron content and are vitrified at high temperatures in ceramic kilns.
Acid-resistant high alumina bricks have many good properties such as high acid resistance, high thermal insulation, high density, low water absorption, good corrosion resistance, not easily oxidized at room temperature, and not easily polluted.
Acid-resistant high alumina bricks can resist most acids like warm chlorine saline, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and nitric acid except hydrofluoric acid and hot Phosphoric acid. Also, it can resist alkalis with different densities at room temperature.
Acid-resistant high alumina bricks' main component is SiO2. When SiO2 is burned at high temperatures, there are lots of poly aluminum andalusite which can resist acids strongly. Acid-resistant high alumina bricks also can resist alkali at room temperature because of high density, and low water absorption. However, it does not resist alkali at high temperatures.
Acid-resistant high alumina bricks are widely used in the chemical industry such as workshops, outdoor acid-resistant floors, and corrosion lining of towers, tanks, sinks, etc.
Acid-resistant high alumina bricks are used to construct floorings vulnerable to acid attack, the lining of chambers and towers in chemical plants, the lining of sewers carrying industrial effluents, etc., to prevent deterioration of the surface by acids.
1. High acid resistance, smooth surface, precise size
2. High thermal insulation, low water absorption
3. Anti-permeability, anti-freeze, salt resistance, and good adhesive properties with other materials
4. It can be installed on a wet surface without drying and can get hardened under water or in a moist environment
5. Easy to construct, easy to clean
6. It can be customized
All sizes of acid-resistant high alumina bricks can be made with single-side grooves or double-side grooves, glaze, or non-glaze.
Special size and OEM services are provided, too.
Non Glaze: anti-skidding, anti-exposure.
Glaze: Easy to clean, smooth, and clear.
Class I Bricks: These acid-resistant high alumina bricks are recommended for severe conditions of corrosive environments, as seen in pickling tanks, storage tanks, and heavy-duty floors subject to frequent contact with corrosive liquids.
Class II Bricks: These types of acid-resistant high alumina bricks are recommended for working areas and floors subject to occasional spillage of fumes, acids, and chemicals in fertilizer silos. These are also used for skirting and lining silos.
It possesses features of high acid resistance, and low water absorption rate, is not easily oxidized under room temperature, and does not get contaminated easily.
It is used in chemical industries, such as ditch puzzle acid, acid wells, acid storage libraries, and acid-impacted ground.
It is a cost-saving material when special metals and alloys become uneconomical due to chemical attacks at high temperatures.
These acid-resistant high alumina brick liners can lower concentration and temperature levels by making it feasible to use less expensive alloys.
