With the same raw material, the same formula, and the same firing temperature, the smaller the fineness of the powder after grinding the raw material, the higher the specific gravity and the better the wear resistance. The specific gravity of high alumina balls is mainly affected by the powder and firing. Factors such as raw (undercooked), too coarse powder, and the addition of miscellaneous materials will cause the specific gravity of the ball to be insufficient. Ball stones with low specific gravity are not wear-resistant and easy to crack, but high specific gravity does not mean that the ball stone must be wear-resistant, because excessively sintered ball stones can also achieve higher specific gravity.
