RTO, also known as regenerative oxidation device, uses ceramic regenerators to store the heat generated when organic waste gas is decomposed and uses the heat energy stored in ceramic regenerators to preheat and decompose untreated organic waste gas, so as to achieve high efficiency. With high thermal efficiency, the oxidation temperature is above 760°C, and the organic matter in the exhaust gas can be completely oxidized and decomposed in a short time.
The regenerator is the core unit to reduce the operating cost of the RTO device. It can efficiently use the energy of organic matter in the process of oxidation and decomposition, and absorb and release energy. The treatment efficiency can reach more than 99.5%. No matter in terms of treatment efficiency or operation In terms of maintenance cost, it is a relatively good means to deal with organic waste gas at present.
In RTO, the regenerator can repeatedly absorb and release heat. When the low-temperature organic waste gas passes through the regenerator, the regenerator releases the stored heat to the exhaust gas, so that the exhaust gas can reach the required preheating temperature. The temperature of the heating body itself is taken away; the preheated organic waste gas enters the combustion chamber for high-temperature pyrolysis, and the purified flue gas after high-temperature pyrolysis passes through the low-temperature regenerators again, and the heat released by high-temperature pyrolysis is reduced. The high-temperature ceramic regenerator absorbs and cools the high-temperature pyrolysis flue gas. The entire RTO system goes back and forth in this way. The ceramic regenerator repeatedly stores heat and releases heat, so that VOCs are efficiently converted into clean CO2 and H2O. At the same time, the reaction of The released heat is fully and efficiently recycled, so RTO is an excellent carbon neutral method under the current dual carbon goals.
Common materials for RTO regenerators include honeycomb ceramics, Maan rings and spherical ceramics, etc., but ceramic honeycomb regenerators are currently used more, which have large surface area, small resistance, small coefficient of thermal expansion and contraction, and good heat resistance. Features, widely used in RTO.
